Professional Interests
My clinical interests include the spectrum of family medical care with a focus on disease prevention and health maintenance. The treatment of obesity, especially as it relates to its impact on various co-morbidities has been an area of interest.
An additional area of interest for me is the evaluation and treatment of venous disease including the non-invasive assessment and therapy of venous insufficiency. In medical education we emphasize the fundamentals of the patient/physician relationship. While we stress the technical competence and quality of care, we must communicate to the student the value of service in our interactions with our patients.
