Family Medicine Fellowship Programs

Sports Medicine Fellowship

The Sports Medicine Fellowship is primarily a one-on-one learning experience. This is accomplished by assigning each fellow to one of the Sports Medicine attending staff members. While with this attending, the fellow’s schedule mirrors the attending staff’s schedule which is time in the clinic, time in the operating room, time in the training room and one day free to pursue research and prepare for conferences.

Clinical Informatics Fellowship

Clinical Informatics is the application of information technology to healthcare delivery. It encompasses a wide range of activities, including electronic documentation and patient management, clinical decision support, population health, mobile health, distance medicine, and much more. In 2011, the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) recognized clinical informatics as a board-eligible subspecialty. After 2022, all individuals who wish to become board-certified must have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship program in clinical informatics. The Ohio State University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital clinical informatics fellowship is one of a handful of such programs in the county and sits on the cutting edge of training the next generation of physician informaticists and informatics leaders.
