Opportunities for Medical Students

Medical students are welcome and opportunities exist for experiences at all levels of training, from summer externship after year one to sub-internships in the fourth year. The Rural Health Scholars program offers an opportunity to interact with students from all of Ohio’s medical schools who have an interest in generalist rural practice of all types, including family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, emergency medicine, general surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology.

Download this year’s medical student options or contact Tara Wagner, Residency Program Manager for details as well as this year’s RHS application.
