We are thrilled to announce that The Ohio State College of Medicine has been selected to join only 8 other medical schools at the 2017 Millennium Conference: From Student to Doctor: Aligning UME and GME Teaching to Ensure Success, which is co-sponsored by the Carl J. Shapiro Institute for Education and Research at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and the Association of American Medical Colleges.
The team representing The Ohio State College of Medicine includes Drs. John Davis, Allison Macerollo, Scott Holliday, Demicha Rankin and Sheryl Pfeil. The selection committee was impressed by Ohio State’s commitment to aligning UME and GME teaching, the representation and expertise offered by senior leadership, and the willingness to integrate insights from the conference into local initiatives.
The conference will be held in Wellesley, MA on May 3-5, 2017, and is a wonderful opportunity for multi-institutional brainstorming and networking. It’s format allows leaders within the same institution to strategize about challenges in teaching, and to conduct intra-institutional, long-term planning that crosses the continuum of medical education.
