Professional Interests
My research focuses on investigating the structures and managerial competencies that improve health system capacity to implement new technologies, models of care delivery, and quality improvement interventions. Responding to policy changes, technology changes, and scientific advancements poses a significant challenge to healthcare organizations, yet studying how organizations can respond to these changes will ultimately benefit healthcare delivery. Drawing on training in strategic and organizational theories, my research aims to produce practice oriented conclusions that can benefit healthcare delivery. My current research explores these issues in relation to the exchange of health information across the care continuum, the implementation of patient portals in the inpatient environment, the development of accountable care organizations, changes in delivery system configuration, and best practices for quality improvement.

I received my PhD in Global Health Management and Policy from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, my MPH in Health Management and Policy from the Drexel Dornsife School of Public Health, and my BA from Reed College.
